We've decided to write this blog so that friends and family can keep tabs on what we're doing BUT ALSO so that we can have a permanent record of our trip. So...please be patient with us if we seem to be rambling on at times or if some comments are directed at specific people. We won't be posting every day.
First impressions:
- people everywhere
- the architecture
- all different shapes, for effect not functionality
- engineering difficult
- shops!!!
- face masks and an obsession with avoiding germs
- soy sauce smell
- 10th January sitting in Chinese fast-food joint with 'Jingle Bells' and 'Oh Come All Ye Faithful' playing in the background.
THE BUILDINGS
Selection of great shapes from our first day.
THE PEOPLE
Hong Kong ancient and modern: T'sai Chi in the shade of a skyscraper |

Maybe Steve should buy one of these??? |
HONG KONG PARK
This park is an oasis of calm in the middle of a chaotic city.
There is a Registry Office in the park and couples have their pictures taken afterwards.

Interesting photo's and I particularly liked the wigs!
Have you managed to see my email about Silverstone in response to your email?
I haven't heard back from Den yet but tickets are going fast.
Take care and look forward to reading more on your travels.
